ARCHITECTURE BY LARRY SPECK

The site plan for The Overlook was developed with the goal of each of the 22 homes having an expansive view of Lake Austin or the rolling hills of Westlake.

Rather than the intent of building as many homes on the site as possible, the homes are carefully designed into the existing topography and built around the modern resort-style pool and spa as a community gathering point.

The exteriors are designed with a balance of warm exterior wood, storefront glass, metal, and traditional modern white stucco. Moving away from standard garage entryways, hidden garage doors are designed as an extension of the wooden exterior facade. A large vertical wall of glass spans over three stories capped by a gracious rooftop terrace that features sweeping views of Lake Austin.
